Bill Has a Passion for his Hometown.
Hamblen County is a great place to live, to work and to raise a family, but Bill wants to make it better. Bill grew up here, raised his three daughters here and his three grandsons are growing up here. Bill has devoted more than 30 years making our community better by volunteering with several non-profit groups, by coaching dozens of children on youth sports teams and by serving the past 16 years as the treasurer/banker of county government.
Bill has a Proven Record of Conservative Money Management.
Hamblen County is in its strongest financial condition in 20 years thanks to Bill’s leadership as County Trustee. The County’s “Rainy Day” funds are very healthy, its credit rating has improved twice during the past two years and the County’s debt is about half of other communities its size. Bill has also prepared financing plans for school building programs and a new road paving program without raising taxes.
Bill Works Hard to Meet the Needs of Hamblen County and Its Citizens
Bill believes local government is most effective when its leaders work as a team. The future of our community will depend on how well they work together. Bill has earned the trust and respect of the other elected officials and department heads while working with them to improve the services county government provides. He has built strong, working relationships with the County Commission, Board of Education and Morristown City Council as well as business and industry. It will take a team approach to accomplish Bill’s vision for tomorrow.
Bill Brittain has the background, experience and vision to keep Hamblen County moving forward.
