Bill Brittain wins Hamblen County Mayor’s Race in Landslide
Hamblen County voters made their voices heard loud and clear in the August 2010 General Election by electing Bill Brittain County Mayor with 65% of the vote. It was an overwhelming victory as Bill won all the voting districts throughout the county.
The decisive victory was a strong indication that county residents approve of the way their county government has operated the past several years. Bill has worked as the county treasurer/banker serving as the County Trustee for the last 16 years.
During the campaign, Bill stressed:
- the need for county government to help create jobs by keeping taxes low with conservative money management
- the need to steadily improve our school system by promoting communication between the County Commission and Board of Education
- the need to keep our neighborhoods safe by addressing the root cause of property crimes in our community, drug abuse.
